Stan Instructor: Kim Yearyean, ILP

Kim, a Choctaw Indian heads up the Realty Department for the Soboba Band of Mission Indians.  Ms. Yearyean has worked in the Fee to Trust field for the last several years.  She was with the Southern California Agency in Riverside and with the California Indian Lands Office.  In 1999 2000 and 2001 she received the award for Outstanding Indian Realty Staff person in the nation. Kim was the first person in the nation to receive the Indian Land Professional (ILP) designation.  A "Bureau Brat" growing up, her first exposure to Title 25 of the CFR was sitting on them at the kitchen table when she was about three years old.  She started work in the realty office at Southern California Agency just out of high school.  She also worked in the Branch of Housing before receiving a promotion back to realty and eventually was promoted to the position of Realty Officer at the agency.
