Class Synopsis
This class will cover the draft Residential Leasing Regulations and the leasing statutes. It will cover general practices in leasing land out of residential purposes. Leasing land for HUD homesites or for other programs, i.e. Housing Improvement Program (HIP), 184 leases. What are the pros and cons of waiving rent.
Residential properties currently without leases. Homes built on the wrong property. Homes prior to the new ILCA amendments that did not have 100 percent grant of leases.
The course will also include a segment on leasing of land for a housing development. What are the advantages and what are the disadvantages.
Lease compliance of Residential leases.
As with most ICC courses, people will work in groups to analyze case studies.
